# Acrab raises US$130 million to commercialise agentic AI compute

Singapore-based Acrab says it has raised US$130 million in Series B financing, with continued backing from Vertex Ventures SEA & India and Vertex Growth alongside institutional investors from Europe and Southeast Asia.

## What the financing backs

The company says the new capital will support product scaling, ecosystem expansion and development of its next-generation computing platform. Acrab is building a full-stack system that combines purpose-built silicon, edge artificial intelligence and software orchestration. It emerged from stealth with what it describes as more than US$350 million in cumulative funding and has introduced an Agent Box platform powered by its GELIX 1 technology. ## A hardware-led commercialisation bet

The round backs a hardware-led approach to agentic artificial intelligence. Rather than relying only on cloud software, Acrab is positioning compact compute systems and specialised silicon as infrastructure for agents operating in edge environments. That approach could matter where latency, privacy, connectivity or power constraints make continuous cloud processing less practical, but the release does not provide independent benchmarks or customer case studies.
