# AiMOGA puts service robots to work in Malaysian car showrooms

AiMOGA Robotics is using Malaysian automotive showrooms as an overseas proving ground for service robots designed to greet customers and present vehicles.

At the World Robot Conference in Beijing, the company showed recorded demonstrations from eight overseas outlets, including locations in Malaysia and Thailand. Its Mornine robot performed reception and vehicle-presentation tasks in dealership settings. AiMOGA said the robot will increasingly support Chery, OMODA & JAECOO, iCAUR and Lepas showrooms in Malaysia. That is a company deployment plan rather than independent proof of customer satisfaction, labour savings or commercial returns.

The technology use case is notable because dealership reception is structured but still requires navigation, speech interaction and handover to human staff. It offers a more concrete test of service robotics than a laboratory demonstration, while keeping the machines in a controlled environment.

For Malaysian dealers, the near-term question is whether robots can improve visitor routing and product presentation without creating maintenance or training burdens. For robotics suppliers, repeatable showroom tasks could provide a route from demonstrations to paid deployments.

AiMOGA also says it has delivered more than 2,000 units across over 60 countries and regions. Those figures are company-reported; the stronger evidence to watch will be the number of active Malaysian sites, the tasks performed over time and whether dealership operators expand their deployments.
