[AIRA Factoring](https://en.prnasia.com/releases/apac/aira-factoring-surpasses-thb-1-billion-in-digital-supply-chain-financing-powered-by-nec-thailand-551031.shtml?ref=southeastasiaconnect.com) has processed more than THB 1 billion in cumulative lending transactions through its digital supply-chain finance platform in Thailand, technology partner NEC Thailand announced on 9 October. The figure marks transaction activity on a financing channel for businesses that need working capital while payment moves through a supply chain. It is a cumulative platform total, not a new disbursement made on the announcement date.

The platform dates to a [January 2025 launch](https://th.nec.com/en%5FTH/press/PR/20250110180128%5F11736.html?ref=southeastasiaconnect.com) following a May 2024 partnership agreement. AIRA Factoring provides the financing service, TASConnect supplies the platform component, and NEC Thailand contributes digital capabilities. The partners identified Thai manufacturers and their smaller suppliers, including newer SMEs seeking working capital, as a focus.

## How invoices enter the financing process

AIRA is a receivables-factoring provider, offering short-term finance against transferred rights to payment. At the launch, AIRA chief executive Akrawit Sooksai described invoices as evidence of sales that a newer small business could present when seeking finance. The model can give a supplier a way to seek working capital against a commercial transaction before its buyer's payment is due.

The digital workflow is intended to bring credit management and cash-flow information together in one shared platform for buyers, suppliers and the finance provider. In a [NEC case study](https://asean.nec.com/en%5FAA/case-studies/files/NEC%5FCaseStudy%5FTH%5FFSD%5FAiraFactoring.pdf?ref=southeastasiaconnect.com), AIRA senior vice-president Vutipong Kittichanteera described the inconvenience for customers far from the company's single Bangkok office of submitting documents there. He presented digital submission as a way to address that geographic friction.

The reported THB 1 billion total puts lending activity behind the platform launched in 2025\. Its operating design joins invoice evidence with digital credit work, while AIRA's account of the Bangkok document-submission problem explains why customers farther away could benefit from a remote route. The volume is the disclosed result; a measured change in access or processing time is not established.
