City Energy adds gas-appliance booths at two Singapore IKEA stores
City Energy established gas-appliance booths at IKEA Alexandra and Tampines in September. Nine-month water-heater sales rose 22.6%; booth-level sales were not disclosed.

City Energy established gas-appliance retail booths at IKEA Alexandra and IKEA Tampines in September, according to Keppel Infrastructure Trust's 27 October operating update. The Singapore gas utility also reported that residential gas water-heater sales rose 22.6% in the first nine months of 2026 from a year earlier. The two booths add physical points where shoppers can encounter the utility's appliances; the disclosure does not report sales or installations attributable to either booth.
A channel change amid steady gas volumes
The trust said City Energy's town-gas volumes for the nine months were broadly stable, with a variation of less than 1% from the comparable period. It attributed the balance to weaker visitor arrivals offset by continued growth in residential gas water-heater sales. That makes the retail move more specific than an assertion that the utility's overall gas demand has expanded. The booths were established in September, but the issuer gave no booth-level revenue, conversion rate or customer count.
For households comparing gas appliances, the reported change is two additional in-store places to encounter City Energy's offering. For appliance suppliers and installers, it is evidence of a new physical sales touchpoint, not evidence of an exclusive retail arrangement or a procurement opportunity. The update did not disclose the booths' commercial terms, available models or installation volumes. Those details would be needed to assess whether the channel materially changes sales or service demand.
The booths were established in September, the final month of the nine-month reporting period. The aggregate sales figure therefore includes eight months before the booths existed. That short overlap limits what the period-wide water-heater sales figure can reveal about the new retail sites. City Energy said it would continue marketing through multiple channels. Later disclosures of booth activity, appliance sales and town-gas volumes would help readers judge whether the physical channel becomes a material sales route.
