DayOne adds RM15bn financing for Johor data-centre expansion
Seven banks arranged the new facilities, bringing financing secured in 2025 and 2026 to about RM30bn.

DayOne has secured an additional financing arrangement of approximately RM15 billion for its data-centre platform in Johor, Malaysia, doubling the platform’s financing total to about RM30 billion when combined with facilities arranged in 2025.
A seven-bank consortium announced the expanded financing on 13 October. The new package comprises a US$2.4 billion offshore term-loan facility and an RM5.5 billion Murabahah facility, according to lender UOB. It will fund the next phase of capacity development across DayOne’s Johor platform.
The lenders are CIMB, Crédit Agricole CIB, DBS, Maybank, OCBC, Standard Chartered and UOB. The approximately RM15 billion secured in 2025 is part of the combined total, not new financing announced this month. The releases describe arranged facilities rather than confirming that the full amount has been drawn.
In its own update on 14 October, Singapore-headquartered DayOne put the enlarged Malaysian financing at approximately US$7.2 billion. It also reported company-wide figures for capacity already earning revenue, capacity covered by signed customer commitments, and capacity customers have reserved. These figures cover all its markets; the announcement does not say how much belongs to Johor.
DayOne said more than one gigawatt of data-centre power capacity was already earning income under customer contracts. Separately, customers had signed binding commitments for approximately 2.3 gigawatts as of 20 September. The company calls these measures “Billings” and “Bookings”, respectively.
DayOne said its signed customer commitments came from 15 customers, compared with nine at the end of 2024. Four of its five largest customers use its services in more than one market, and three hyperscale customers each have multi-market deployments of around 200 megawatts or more.
The company acquires land with secured power and seeks anchor-customer commitments early in development. The Johor financing expands the funding available for that development programme, alongside the broader customer commitments reported in its October update.
