[Digital Core REIT](https://www.digitalcorereit.com/?ref=southeastasiaconnect.com) unitholders approved a proposed swap of North American data-centre interests for stakes in Singapore and Osaka at a 22 October meeting; the asset transfers have not been reported complete.

The REIT's manager said in its [22 October voting result](https://investor.digitalcorereit.com/newsroom/20261022%5F172340%5FDCRU%5F6Y23GZIJYN7HCI0A.1.pdf?ref=southeastasiaconnect.com) that the ordinary resolution passed on a poll. It described the proposal as both an interested person transaction and a major transaction under the Singapore Exchange listing rules. Of the units represented by votes for or against, 494,459,301 voted for and 393,000 against, or 99.92% and 0.08% respectively.

## The proposed portfolio shift

The geographic scope comes from the issuer's separate [7 October circular](https://links.sgx.com/FileOpen/4.%20Digital%20Core%20REIT%20-%20%20Circular%20dated%207%20October%202026.ashx?App=Announcement&FileID=906224&ref=southeastasiaconnect.com), which preceded the vote. It proposes divesting existing 90% interests in data centres in Los Angeles and Toronto and a 39% interest in a Northern Virginia facility. Digital Core REIT proposes to acquire a 25% interest in an Osaka data centre and a 2.5% interest in a Singapore data centre.

If completed, the transactions would change the REIT's property interests across those markets. The 22 October result establishes unitholder approval of the proposal; it does not say that any of the North American interests has been sold or that the Singapore and Japanese interests have been acquired. The circular is evidence of transaction scope, not a second announcement of a completed transfer.

## The next evidence to watch

For Singapore data-centre investors, asset owners and infrastructure finance teams, the vote changes the transaction's approval status. A practical next check is an issuer notice confirming whether the transfers close and on what final terms. Until then, the proposed Singapore stake should not be treated as an operating asset already added to the REIT's portfolio.

Neither the voting result nor the cited scope page establishes a new data-centre capacity addition, a confirmed financing outcome or a change in distributions from this vote. Those questions require separate issuer evidence. The result is a decision point for monitoring a proposed portfolio change, not proof that its economic or operating effects have occurred.
