# MDEC issues revised Malaysia Digital Status Guidelines, effective 1 July

Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation has [announced revised Malaysia Digital Status Guidelines](https://www.mdec.my/md-announcements/pengumuman-mengenai-garis-panduan-status-malaysia-digital-md-yang-disemak-semula?ref=southeastasiaconnect.com), effective from 1 July 2026\. MDEC says the revision is intended to provide greater clarity and strengthen the Malaysia Digital Status framework in line with current national digital priorities.
