The [Philippine Economic Zone Authority](https://www.peza.gov.ph/?ref=southeastasiaconnect.com) (PEZA) said in a [22 October release](https://www.peza.gov.ph/press-releases/peza-surpasses-2026-investment-target-%E2%82%B13096-billion-approvals?ref=southeastasiaconnect.com) that January–October approvals reached ₱309.629 billion, above its ₱300 billion target. The release gives broad sectors for 240 approvals and regions for 18 October approvals; neither establishes ready-to-buy projects or spent capital.

The Philippine Economic Zone Authority said the approved investment value was 76.56% higher than the ₱175.365 billion recorded in the same period of 2025\. The comparison measures approvals, not capital already deployed or facilities already operating.

## What the January–October tally covers

The PEZA Board approved 240 new and expansion projects from January to October. The agency said the projects are expected to generate US$9.124 billion in exports and 38,815 direct jobs. These are projections, not exports booked or jobs already created.

PEZA describes the approved pipeline across export manufacturing, information technology and business process management, facilities, economic-zone development, logistics, domestic-market enterprises, utilities and tourism. That sector range offers locators and suppliers a broad signal for follow-up, but the release does not identify a list of named projects ready to buy or start work.

## October approvals have a separate regional split

For October alone, the Board approved 18 new and expansion projects with ₱12.487 billion in approved investments. PEZA expects this smaller group to generate US$178.203 million in exports and 5,484 direct jobs. Those figures should not be added to the January–October totals as though they were a separate period.

Fifteen of the October projects are in Luzon: six in the National Capital Region, eight in CALABARZON and one in Central Luzon. Three are in the Visayas: two in Cebu and one in Iloilo. This location breakdown applies to October’s 18 approvals, not all 240 projects approved through October.

For Philippine economic-zone suppliers, logistics firms and regional investors, the next practical check is whether particular approved projects proceed to implementation and procurement. The 22 October release provides a sector and regional pipeline signal; it does not establish a spending schedule, completed operations or orders for any individual business.
