# Tenable opens cybersecurity AI-agent exchange to shared development

[Tenable](https://www.tenable.com/press-releases/tenable-launches-industrys-first-open-source-ai-agent-exchange?ref=southeastasiaconnect.com) has launched the CyberAgents Exchange, a free open-source registry for cybersecurity AI agents, skills, model-context servers and multi-agent playbooks. For Southeast Asian security teams facing similar talent and tool-integration constraints, the practical question is whether shared components can reduce duplicated development while remaining auditable.

## What the registry contains

The company said more than 50 components were available at launch under open-source licences. The registry provides code-level information about who built an item, when it was created and its peer-supported status, but users still have to assess code quality, permissions and fitness for their own environment. ## Why it is relevant to regional teams

The exchange is globally accessible rather than a Southeast Asia-specific programme. Its regional relevance comes from giving local security teams another route to inspect and adapt agentic tooling without starting every workflow from scratch, particularly where specialist capacity is limited.

## What open source does not guarantee

Open source does not remove governance duties. Teams need to review licences, dependencies, data access, model permissions, logging and human approval points before an agent can act in a production security environment.
