The Asian Development Bank says it has approved a $2 million grant to help Thailand expand humanitarian assistance for communities affected by severe flooding in the south. The support comes through the Asia Pacific Disaster Response Facility.

Where the support is directed

ADB says the grant will support the continuing response, including Hat Yai Hospital, local public-health units and direct assistance to affected communities. A grant handover was held in Songkhla Province on 10 July.

The bank says the November 2025 floods affected 12 provinces, more than 100 districts and over 3.8 million people, with Songkhla hit hardest. Homes, roads and critical infrastructure, including Hat Yai Hospital, were affected.

Claim boundary

The official release establishes the grant, its intended uses and ADB’s reported impact figures. It does not yet show disbursement by recipient, recovery outcomes or whether the funding closes the remaining humanitarian gap.
