Jakarta says the Velodrome-Manggarai light-rail extension has reached 97.99% readiness. The 12.2km route adds 11 stations and is intended to connect more eastern neighbourhoods with the capital’s wider public-transport network.
What happened
Governor Pramono Anung gave the readiness figure on 13 August, while project company Jakpro has scheduled initial operation for 26 August. The route is not yet open to passengers.
