Indonesia’s Manpower Ministry is partnering with Microsoft, Binus University and GreatNusa to expand AI-based job fairs and improve matching between job seekers and national industry needs. Manpower Minister Yassierli said the ministry is working with GreatNusa and Microsoft on an online job fair while strengthening knowledge and skills in artificial intelligence.
The partnership was launched through the AI Career Boost Day 2026 Job Fair at the ministry’s Jakarta office. Yassierli said demand for workers with artificial intelligence expertise continues to rise, and he cited an 11 percent increase in recruitment of digital and AI talent in Hyderabad, India. He also said Microsoft has trained about 50,000 people in digital skills in Indonesia.
The ministry is using 43 training centers nationwide for practical, conventional, digital and emerging technology-based training, while also offering skills development online. It is also expanding its Siap Kerja platform by adding more companies to create jobs and improve matching between workers and industry demand.
GreatNusa by Binus University chief operating officer Nita Felia said AI developments should be used to boost productivity, skills and employment through continuous learning. She said GreatNusa connects government, industry, universities, communities and learners to expand equitable access to digital skills development, and she called for expanded learning, online job fairs and career mentoring.
