Nam Thang Binh Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company began construction on three projects in Da Nang on 29 August, with a combined investment of VND1.098 trillion, according to the developer. The works will add factory space and utilities for companies seeking to establish or expand manufacturing operations in central Vietnam.
The largest component is an 18-hectare complex of factories for lease, allocated VND670 billion. A wastewater treatment plant accounts for VND160 billion and is designed to handle 4,200 cubic metres a day. A further VND268 billion will fund technical infrastructure across 29.5 hectares. The developer aims for the first factories using modern technologies to begin operating in Subdivision B in early 2027. Construction and tenant installation will therefore be the next steps before the new space can support production.
More space for manufacturers
The rental factories are intended to give businesses a production base without first constructing their own buildings. The developer says the ready-built model can shorten preparation time, allowing tenants to install production lines after completing the necessary investment procedures. It could also make factory premises more accessible to smaller manufacturers and suppliers.
The accompanying infrastructure is central to that proposition. The next phase will add serviced industrial land, while the treatment plant will collect and process wastewater from manufacturing activities. Companies assessing the site will need both usable premises and the supporting systems required to operate them.
The three works form part of Subdivision B, a roughly 346-hectare development in the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone. Its total registered investment is VND4.043 trillion. The new VND1.098 trillion phase is part of that wider development, rather than a separate industrial park.
Building on the first phase
Construction of the first phase began in December 2025. Work since then has covered internal roads, water supply and drainage, lighting and other basic infrastructure. In its advance announcement, the developer said cleared land and utility connections were being prepared to support the next projects.
The industrial park's investment policy was approved in May 2025, and its investment registration certificate was issued in December, with an amendment in August 2026. The latest milestone is the start of these additional construction works, following the earlier planning and approval process.
Nam Thang Binh describes its intended development model as green and smart, with technology used in management, operations and environmental control. It is seeking clean manufacturing, high-tech and energy-efficient production businesses. At the groundbreaking, the city called for the developer to maintain construction safety and environmental protection while recruiting investment and preparing local employment.
For prospective manufacturers, the immediate development is a larger pipeline of rental factory space and supporting utilities in southern Da Nang. The developer's early-2027 target will depend on completing construction and bringing tenants through their own investment and installation processes.
