StarHub has turned an HPE partner award into a broader enterprise-infrastructure message, arguing that digital transformation and AI adoption still depend on managed networks, cloud, cybersecurity and operational delivery.

What changed

The company said Hewlett Packard Enterprise named StarHub APAC Service Provider of the Year 2026. StarHub linked the recognition to its Modern Digital Infrastructure strategy, which combines networks, cloud, cybersecurity and data capabilities.

The release also points to StarHub’s work with the National University of Singapore on a Borderless University initiative, including enterprise networking, solar-powered Wi-Fi and private 5G capabilities. StarHub framed the work as part of secure, resilient and AI-ready digital transformation.

Why it matters

For enterprise buyers, the practical issue is that AI projects do not run on strategy slides alone. Data access, connectivity, identity, security, resilience and operations all affect whether pilots become working systems.

That makes managed infrastructure a commercial story, not only a telecom story. Service providers that can connect network operations, cloud governance and cybersecurity into deployable packages may become more important as companies move from AI experimentation to implementation.

It also gives Southeast Asia’s campus, public-sector and enterprise technology teams a useful marker: AI-readiness conversations are likely to include infrastructure partners earlier in procurement, especially where private networks and hybrid environments are involved.

What to watch

The next evidence is whether StarHub publishes more customer deployments, measurable operational outcomes, or clearer packaging around managed infrastructure for AI-heavy enterprise use cases.
