Tech Data has been named IBM’s 2026 Distribution Growth Leader for Asia Pacific, recognising the distributor’s revenue growth and work with new business partners across the region. Tech Data is the name used by TD SYNNEX in APAC.
TD SYNNEX announced the recognition after IBM Partner Plus Day at Think 2026. The award covers value-added distributors and is tied to growth through their organisations and partner networks; it is not a customer-adoption or market-share ranking. TD SYNNEX official
IBM said distributors play a critical role in helping partners bring AI and hybrid-cloud systems into customer environments. In Asia Pacific, that work includes enablement, technical expertise and go-to-market execution across markets with different infrastructure, regulation and buying cycles.
For regional technology companies, the useful signal is the importance of the channel between global platforms and local implementation. Enterprise buyers often need architecture support, financing, integration and partner capacity before an AI or hybrid-cloud plan can move beyond a pilot.
The recognition does not by itself establish how many deployments succeeded or how much revenue came from AI and hybrid cloud. Those outcomes would need customer-level evidence, partner growth data and operating results beyond the award announcement.
Evidence of wider impact would include named Asia-Pacific deployments, broader partner capability and repeatable commercial outcomes for customers.
